Beginning May 2008 the Asian Art Museum is pleased to offer FREE admission to all visitors on the first Sunday of each month, courtesy of Target. Target First Free Sundays replaces Target Tuesdays, the museum’s free admission day on the first Tuesday of each month.  

 

Target First Free Sundays Kick-Off Celebration

FREE Admission

Come join us as we celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month by kicking off an entire year of Target First Free Sundays. Enjoy a day-long festival for the entire family featuring live music, artist demonstrations, dance workshops and performances, book readings, storytelling, hands-on activities for all ages, guided tours of the galleries, and more!

Nature in Art family tour: Explore the natural world in East Asian art with a guided tour of the museum's Chinese, Korean, and Japanese galleries.

The museum’s storytellers bring the fascinating myths and folktales of Asia alive with stories.

Body Language family tour: Explore the human form in Asian art with a guided tour of the South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Himalayan galleries.

Arts of Tibet” family guide: Learn about the mudras, color symbolism, and Buddhist iconography in the sculptures and paintings of the Himalayan gallery.
