General Public
There is a $5 surcharge for Emerald Cities:

Adults: $17

Seniors: $13

College Students with ID: $12

Youths 13–17: $7

Asian Art Museum members, children (12 and under), and SFUSD students with ID: FREE

Ticket prices include general museum admission. Beginning September 1, 2009 advance tickets will be available for sale online or on-site at the museum's admission desk. (Advance tickets sold onsite will be held at Will Call for the day of your visit.)

Target First Free Sundays
Admission to Emerald Cities is only $5 on the first Sunday of each month; Children and AAM members enjoy free admission.

Free general museum admission on the first Sunday of each month and the family programs offered on that day is made possible by Target. Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to capacity restrictions, admission is not guaranteed.

Asian Art Museum Members
AAM members can enjoy FREE admission to Emerald Cities for themselves and applicable guests by picking up their tickets at the membership desk at the museum, on the same day of their visit, subject to the next available entry time to the exhibition.

For extra convenience, members who wish to reserve advance tickets can now secure their tickets online. A modest fee of $1.00 per ticket will apply for web sales.

Please note that Emerald Cities tickets are not available for on-line purchase to reciprocal members, but may be purchased onsite at the museum's admission desk. A photo ID and a valid reciprocal membership card must be presented at the time of purchase. Please note that a $5 surcharge fee applies to reciprocal members.

Groups and Private Tours

Group Admission

Discounts for groups of 10 or more are available when you make a reservation and pay 2 weeks in advance of your scheduled visit.  Group admission rates are: 

Adults: $15

Seniors: $12

College Students with ID: $11

Youths 13-17: $6

AAM members, Children (12 and under), and SFUSD students with ID: FREE

Ticket prices include admission to the museum's collection galleries and timed entry to the exhibition. Tickets are good only for the time and date indicated. No refunds or exchanges. Tickets cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed.

 

Private Tours

Enhance your visit with a private guided tour of the exhibition, led by our knowledgeable docents. Cost is $100 per tour for a group of up to 20 people. Tour length is approximately 45 minutes. Private tours are offered at the following times, subject to availability : 

Tuesdays-Sundays: 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm

Thursday evenings:  5 pm, 6 pm, and 7pm

Armchair Tours

Groups may also reserve a 45 min. illustrated slide talk about the exhibition by our knowledgeable docents before exploring Emerald Cities on your own.  Cost is $100 per talk for a group of up to 30 people, excluding admission fees. Available October 23, 2009 through January 10, 2010, subject to space availability. Reservations and payment must be made at least 3 weeks in advance.
