    Performances

    Oct 21

    Free with museum admission

    2—4 PM

    Samsung Hall

When we examine our stories, histories, narratives and beliefs, what are the interconnected threads? What is there to discover when we untangle these threads?   Explore these issues at APAture, Kearny Street Workshop’s annual multidisciplinary arts festival celebrating emerging Asian and Pacific Islander artists of the Bay Area, whose theme this year is “unravel.” Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, an artist of mixed Pakistani and Lebanese descent, is the featured performing artist at this event. Bhutto’s work explores political queerness and how it exists in a constant in-between and non-aligned space along with state violence — how does that violence resonate in collective memory? Check back for details.
