The film features interviews with Fu, who will celebrate his 80th birthday this year and will be present at this screening, as well as with notable scholars of Chinese art including, Jay Xu, Asian Art Museum; Mimi Gardner Gates, Dunhuang Foundation; Mike Hearn, Metropolitan Museum of Art; Kungshin Chou, Former Director, National Palace Museum in Taiwan; Jan Stuart, Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery; Richard Barnhart, Yale University; Lothar Ledderose, University of Heidelberg; Qianshen Bai, Boston University and Marilyn Wong Gleysteen, among others.

A selection Dr. Fu’s painting and calligraphy works from his 60-year career, Traces of the Past and Future: A Retrospective of Fu Shen’s Painting and Calligraphy, will be on view in the Chinese painting galleries of the Asian Art Museum from December 5, 2017 to August 4, 2018.
