Think about the most important thing in your life, then hear local archaeologists' discussion around various cultural beliefs about life after death. Archaeologists from UC Berkeley's Archaeology Research Facility (A.R.F.) discuss excavation, preservation and analysis of objects thought to serve in the afterlife for the ancient Chinese. The Crucible, a non-profit located in Oakland, presents demonstrations on how some of the objects in the exhibition were made, and offers visitors an opportunity to make their own treasure to take home.
This program repeats on Fridays–Sundays, March 15–May 5, 2013.
This program is offered in partnership with the Archaeology Research Facility at the UC Berkeley and The Crucible.
