for a fun feast of art activities, food, music, and dance at this all-day banquet
of Korean Culture. Janchi (feast or banquet) is a traditional way of celebrating
birthdays, weddings, and other milestones. Usually there is an abundance of food,
music, and dances throughout the day, and everyone in the neighborhood joins in
preparation and feast.Food will
be abundant at our janchi, with San
Francisco's famous food trucks serving up Korean tacos and more outside, while Cafe Asia keeps the crowds
happy with Asian fusion cuisine inside the museum. There are plenty of great
activities to keep everyone entertained, and a Family Gallery Guide with games
to play as you explore the special exhibition In Grand Style and Korean art.
This program is presented
in conjunction with the special exhibition In
Grand Style: Celebrations in Korean Art during the Joseon Dynasty.
