The First Emperor, Qin Shi Huangdi laid the foundation for the China we know today—but at what cost? Explore the controversy and contributions of China's first emperor through various perspectives, including an archaeologist, an individual working on the Great Wall, and a scientist trying to preserve the warriors. As you explore the life and legacy of the first emperor, consider the deeds for which you want to be remembered.

Participants will tour the galleries, hear the latest research from Stanford University professor emeritus Albert Dien, design a multimedia video with Kristin Farr from KQED, and create their own artful legacy.  Includes a continental breakfast, light lunch, curriculum designed in collaboration with World Savvy, and a CD of images that you can use with your students in the classroom. Please bring a camera and laptop. Extras are available upon request.

    Pre-registration is required.
