  • Draw It Like You Throw It with Erik Scollon

Evenings, and part of Artists Drawing Club

    Mar 19

Free with museum admission ($5 after 5 PM)

    6:30—9 PM

    North Court

When a potter throws on the potter's wheel the form slowly emerges through a series of small adjustments. This is unlike drawing, which can quickly find the outline of a form. Bay Area ceramist Erik Scollon will lead you through a meditative drawing exercise, akin to the gradual approach to finding form used by potters. Join the artist as he discusses ceramic works in the galleries and leads participants through a study of form.
