As a musical complement to the exhibit, China's Terracotta Warriors, Music@Menlo presents selections by composers whose music, despite a historical and cultural remove from the time of China’s first emperor, likewise offers perspectives on the themes of color, grandeur, mysticism, and immortality. Featured performers include violinists Tessa Lark and Jennifer Liu, violist Eleanor Kendra James, and cellist Hiro Matsuo—all accomplished musicians and alumni of Music@Menlo’s Chamber Music Institute.
