Exhibition Tickets


Do I need to reserve tickets in advance for the Yoga: The Art of Transformation exhibition?
Most of our tickets are sold onsite and you do not need to purchase tickets in advance. However, during peak times, such as Spring Break and weekends, buying tickets in advance can save you some waiting time.  

Purchasing your tickets in advance will also enable you to receive priority admission into the museum.  Use the Priority Entry doors located on the left side of the museum entrance and pick up your tickets at the admission desk.  

How do I purchase tickets?
You can purchase tickets onsite at the museum, or online via MuseumTix

Can I pick up my tickets at any time? 
You may pick up your tickets purchased online on the day of your visit, or after 4 pm on Thursday if your tickets are for Thursday evenings. 

Where can I pick up my tickets?
At the admission desk in the lobby. Any of the admission attendants can help with your will-call order. Please have your photo id ready.

Do I need to print my ticket confirmation? 
It is always very helpful, but you can just show up with a photo id.

I have a Discover and Go card: can I use this for Yoga exhibition tickets? SFGoCards allow you to purchase Yoga exhibition tickets for an additional price when you arrive at the museum.

I am a member of another museum. How can I purchase reciprocal member tickets for the exhibition?You can purchase them onsite at the museum.

My employer has a corporate membership. Can I use this to come to the exhibition free of charge?Corporate partners who give at the level of $10,000 and above are granted free admission to their active employees. Some corporate membership levels include free admission for all employees. This includes free admission to special exhibitions. This information is available on our website. Go to our institutional partners page under Get Involved to check whether your employer is on the list.

My employer does not have an ID card. What ID do you require?You can bring your ID badge or business card (with your full name) and a photo ID.

How many tickets does my employer’s corporate membership entitle me to?
If your employer’s corporate membership includes free admission for all employees, each employee may bring one guest free of charge. 

Guided Tours of the Exhibition


Do I need to sign up for the free docent-led tours of the exhibition in advance?
No, you do not need to sign up for these tours in advance.  

How early should I arrive for a tour?
Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour time to be fitted with a headset.  They really help make the tour more enjoyable as it will be easier to hear your docent.

Where do the tours meet?
All tours meet at the Information Desk in South Court.

Can I get a discounted rate or book a private tour for a group?
Yes, groups of 10 or more receive discounted admission and can book a private tour of the exhibition by reserving in advance.  

General Exhibition Questions


Is there a self-guided tour?
Yes, you can rent a multimedia tour at the Information Desk for $5 per person, $4 for members.

Can I take pictures of the Yoga artworks?
No, photography is not permitted.

Yoga Classes


Should I bring a yoga mat?
We encourage you to bring your own mat, but the museum also has a limited supply of mats that you can borrow during Yoga Flow, the Opening Night Party and Yoga Festival. First come, first served.

For the Yoga Pop Up Project, you can rent mats for $3.

Where can I change clothes?
There are restrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors.

Do I have to sign a waiver to participate in yoga classes?
Yes.
