Target First free sundays

"Target First Free Sundays"—free general admission on the first Sunday of every month and the family programs offered on that day—is made possible by Target. Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to capacity restrictions, admission is not guaranteed.

Admission to Shanghai is only $5 on Target First Free Sundays; Children, Youths, and Asian Art Museum members enjoy free admission.


Blue star museums program

The Asian Art Museum is part of the Blue Star Museums program and is offering free general admission to active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day, May 31, 2010, through Labor Day, September 6, 2010.

  • If you are active duty military personnel and/or an immediate family member, all you need to do is show either a Geneva Conventions CAC Card, a DD Form 1173, or a DD Form 1173-1 at the museum admissions desk. Immediate family members under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an appropriate ID holder.

Target arts and wonder

Group Admission
