Shodo Harada Roshi
Shodo Harada Roshi was a student of the scholar and Zen Master Yamada Mumon Roshi (1900-1988), one of the great leaders of the Renzi Buddhist sect. In the past 20 years Harada Roshi has trained men and women from Germany, Spain, France, Switzerland, Briton, the U.S., Australia, Denmark, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Iran, Greece, Sweden, India, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam and Japan. His students include people from all walks of life; from exploring youths to eminent professionals.
Daichi, Harada Roshi’s translator, is also his facilitator and teaching partner. A New Yorker, she set out on a 3 month trip to Japan for an apprenticeship in Bizen pottery. While there she met Mumon Roshi and 38 years later she still lives in Japan.
