Every Thursday the museum is open late
until 9:00 pm, and admission is only $5 after 5:00 pm! The museum is a
great after-work destination or a casual hang out spot with friends—unwind by browsing through our
galleries, view our latest special exhibition, look for a unique gift in the museum store, or simply enjoy drinks
and dinner at Cafe Asia.
In addition, the museum offers the following special programs on Thursday evenings that promise to liven up your visit.

MATCHA is the museum’s monthly Thursday evening series where art, performance, and music move with an urban flair that is offered from June through November. Experience performances by leading Bay Area artists, browse through the museum’s galleries, mingle with friends old and new over cocktails, or simply chill to the hip beats of local DJs and musicians.
