Exhibition previews and background

Treasures regularly previews forthcoming exhibitions, offering an advance look at objects and events. The magazine's exhibition-related articles try to provide a different perspective on exhibitions from the museum's standard promotional and educational materials.

Behind-the-scenes features

Other voices, other views

Occasionally the museum solicits articles from noted writers and scholars. Past contributors include Donald Keene, only the third non-Japanese person to be designated a Person of Cultural Merit by the Japanese government; Gary Snyder, winner of the Pulitzer Prize; Robert Hass, former U.S. Poet Laureate; and Myung Mi Kim, winner of the Multicultural Publisher’s Exchange Award.

Regular features include commentary from the museum's director, a review of recent museum events, membership news, and special store discounts on featured items.
