The splendor of the Qin Emperor’s tomb has long transfixed the world, in both its scale and detail. From February until late May, visitors can expect to find generals, archers, and infantry, all crafted from the Xi’an clay of the originals. Prefer a modern army? Bright red soldiers are a colorful antidote to traditional gray. Want something with a bit of age? Coins dating back to the Tang, Song, and Qing Dynasties are a great way to take home a piece of history.
In addition to the usual complement of exhibition-specific books and objects, we’ll have a few surprises in store (hint: it’s huggable and plush and comes from our collection).
Asian Art Museum Experience at WestfieldCome visit us at Westfield San Francisco Centre. Our ambassadorial outpost is located adjacent to Bloomingdale’s on Level 2, and will be open from January until April. This is more than a pop-up store, with storytelling and educational activities on Saturday afternoons.
Member discounts still apply, and you’ll see a small sampling of what can be found in the Museum Store.
