Asian Heritage Street Celebration
Several streets around the museum will be closed for this festival on May 18, including Larkin between Grove and Ellis, Fulton between Hyde and Larkin and McAllister between Hyde and Polk. ArtPadSF have created a handy map of street closures.Bay to Breakers Street Closures
The annual Bay to Breakers event will be held Sunday, May 19. It will not be possible to cross Market St to Larkin on Sunday morning (until 2 pm), so please plan your route accordingly. A full list of street closures is available on the Bay to Breakers site.Location

A range of tours is available to museum visitors. Many visitors start with the free, self-guided multimedia tour, which takes museum guests through collection highlights. This tour is available in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Spanish and French. Transcripts are available at the Information Desk. The museum welcomes families. Admission for children 12 years and under is free. Strollers are available at the Coat Check, and diaper-changing facilities are available in all museum restrooms. Please note that strollers are not permitted in the Terracotta Warrior galleries.Free Family Programs allow parents and children to share exploration of Asian history and cultures via storytelling. Target First Free Sundays feature extra family programs.

Please use the museum’s free Coat Check service (located on the first floor) to store all backpacks and umbrellas, as well as any purses, bags or large parcels.Visitors may borrow strollers, wheelchairs, and lightweight folding stools free of charge from the Coat Check, subject to availability. Please note that strollers are not permitted in the Terracotta Warrior galleries.
