Please note: The third-floor collection galleries will be closed from mid-June through December 2018 to update the presentation of our masterpieces. The second-floor collection galleries will remain open during this time.

A temporary delivery ramp was installed near the Larkin Street entrance. This is a first step towards transitioning our business entrance from Hyde/McAllister Streets to Larkin Street during construction. The visiting public—including members—should use the center doors to enter the museum. The current accessibility ramps will continue to be available.

We have begun mobilizing for the construction of our new exhibition pavilion and you’ll notice some temporary walls erected inside and outside the building. Never fear — we’re still ready to welcome your visit.

To stay abreast of construction news and to plan your visit, subscribe to our e-newsletters and visit this page for further details.
