Special Exhibitions
Many special exhibitions require purchase of premium tickets. The cost of these tickets includes general admission. (Admission for Asian Art Museum members remains free.)Large groups receive discounts and can access private guided tours. See our Organize a Group Visit page.
Active members of the US Armed Forces are entitled to free entry for themselves and up to five family members. We thank you for your service.

First Free Sundays
Courtesy of Target, general museum admission is free every first Sunday of the month. Additional entrance fees apply to special exhibitions.Community Access Tickets
Social service agencies and nonprofit groups that serve disadvantaged communities, schools and youth groups can enjoy access to the museum via our Community Access Fund.To apply for these tickets, please email groupvisits@asianart.org at least two weeks before your proposed visit date. Include an attachment on your organization’s letterhead stating the number of tickets required and the proposed date.
Community Library Pass Program
The Asian Art Museum has teamed up with libraries throughout the Bay Area to offer library patrons an opportunity to visit the museum for free.
